In the Sermon on the Mount, Christ first showed the eight progressive steps by which men reach higher altitudes of their spiritual life. For this first lesson we will discuss the first four.
Humility – A Conscience Need (5:3)
We first have to know that we need a spiritual life. The Christians were generally a poor people in monetary terms, but this gave them the realization that they must depend upon God to supply for their need. In this same way, we need to realize that in spiritual terms we are very poor of ourselves and cannot compare unto the holiness of God. We must approach God with humility in every aspect of life. In other places in the Bible,
Well, when we desensify children with avenues such as TV, Violent Video Games, GTA, etc. we are teaching them how to commit a murder and most of the time sending the message that they will not be held responsible. Then when they follow what society teaches them is OK in a virtual reality and they turn it into reality we all wonder how it could have happened? WAKE UP Parents! WAKE UP Politicians! WAKE UP Churches! WAKE UP Teachers! WAKE UP America! How much more of this kind of stuff is it going to take before we realize we need to take the Violent Video Games, TV Shows, and Shoot-em-up Movies out of our schools, arcades, stores, children’s room and replace it with the BIBLE and GOD. I wonder why there were not as many School Shootings prior to 1962? We tell ourselves it is because more guns are available?? WRONG! It is because we took God out and made room for the immoral, unethical, socialistic, and unbiblical ideology of humanism. We teach children that you can do whatever you want to do and feel is right to do is OK. And then we turn around and punish them when they act on those teachings. How much more of this is it going to take before we stand up for what is right and stop letting the corrupted judicial system and politicians make the choices for us. We need to get America back to a Nation for the people, by the people, and most importantly UNDER GOD!
We read in 1 Kings 8:27 that the heavens cannot contain God so how could the temple of God? Daniel did not pray towards Jerusalem to direct his prayer towards God, because Jerusalem could not contain God. Daniel prayed toward Jerusalem because he was looking for an answer of forgiveness and restoration.
